 "Excellent night light" 2010-02-21
By Ms. P. Bancroft (UK)
All of a sudden my almost 4yr olds decided they wanted a night light. We tried one that had batteries - waste of money. SO I looked for one which plugged in, found this one and have been very pleased with it, wish I had found it when they were babies as the temp display is excellent. SO much so, I recently purchased one for my friend due to have a baby. Nothing more unsettling not knowing if babies room is too hot or too cold, this eliminates that stress. Excellent gadget.

 "Grobag Egg simplicity" 2009-11-09
By Bobb (Kent, UK)
The nice thing about this product is the simplicity of the indication, the colour. It worked fine from the moment it was turned on and I hope that the second Egg I bought will prove as useful to the soon to be new parents for whom it was purchased.

"great idea but temperature reading inaccurate" 2009-10-09
By Mrs. K. Gryce (Berkshire)
We bought this room thermometer for our nursery as we thought it was a great idea that you get an immediate visual indicator to the temperature as soon as you walk in the room. However, the actual temperature shown was inaccurate and constantly glowed red telling us the room was way too hot. Even with opening windows and putting a fan on, the egg still read the room was too hot. After a few days of trying the egg in different rooms of the house and it still reading it was too hot(over 24 degrees!) we took it back and replaced it with the blue flower shaped Philips Avent digital room thermometer which was reliable and cheaper.

This egg thermometer is a fab idea but unreliable and inaccurate, it does the opposite of what you're trying to achieve- making sure your baby's room is a safe temperature and in response how many layers to put on your baby so it doesn't overheat or freeze!

"Consistently reports the wrong temperature!" 2009-08-30
By G. Gaffin (London)
The Grobag Egg is a stunningly good idea and my wife and I rushed to buy one.

Unfortunately the product is only as good as its thermometer and our Grobag Egg consistently reported the temperature to be 2 degrees higher than the actual room temperature (as per our other room thermometers plus a quick test in a property with 'climate control').

As a result, our Grobag Egg permanently glowed amber and was quickly discarded in favour of the BT 150 Digital Baby Monitor, which has a reliable temperature reading as well as being a decent baby monitor.

Don't waste money on the Grobag Egg!

 "Looks nice" 2009-08-02
By hornet (UK)
Looks nice but otherwise not much use. I have just paid out £34 on a thermometer that will be able to measure babies temp and also room temp. So my advice is do some research. This product only tells temp and thats it. You can do that for a lot less.
