I bought the Tomy Starlight Dreamshow recently and it is perfect for setting a lovely bedtime routine for my 20 wk son. He smiles at the pictures and music and is always fast asleep before the 10 mins setting is up. Well worth the money and it is compact enough for the cot as it doesnt take up much room.

The dreamshow is fantastic. I first used it when my daughter was in hospital and she loved it so I bought one when I got home. She loves the projected bears. When she isn't tired they make her laugh and coo but when she is tired it does sooth her and send her to sleep. This is the best toy I've bought so far and great value for money too. The only thing I would say is it would be better still if you could adjust the volume but its only a minor thing.

The item looks nice and it has lovely tunes on it. They just sound a bit tinny. The light projector shows a pretty picture which our baby likes to follow.

We bought this for our baby son at three weeks old. Like many newborns, he was struggling to fall asleep except in our arms and would not go down in his crib unless in the deepest of sleeps - the tiniest movement would wake him. At about three weeks, we started the Dreamshow. It was like some sort of magic! I don't know why it works with such tiny babies, as I'm sure they can't focus on the show very well, but it worked like a dream. He is 8 weeks now, and we have had five weeks of putting him into his basket after his last feed, switching it on, watching him kick and smile while the music plays and - the bit you've all been waiting for - falling straight to sleep when it switches off. Yeah, sometimes we have to play it twice, sometimes he needs a pat or a rock as well.. but the fact remains we have had no true tears at bedtime since buying this dreamshow and he falls asleep within 20 minutes of being put down (touches wood furiously). An essential piece of baby kit!

the light wasnt moving when we first got it, a little shake and it works a dream....the tunes will be going around your head all night!
it helps our little one to sleep and its a very good routine landmark for the baby
